Subj: Sincere thanks and a bit of my story
Dear Mr. Wright:
Firstly, I am a 60 year old male who can truly relate to your
life/lifestyle back "in the day", perverse humor (compliment), and your brave
journey to save your own life when all the "experts" said you were nuts and
just accept death. The difference being that I had you as my personal guide,
along with a few doctors who told me about you and provided additional
guidance.

Gilead Says Hepatitis C Patients Had Relapse in Trial, Shares Plunge
Posted February 21st, 2012 by adminShares of Gilead Sciences (GILD: 44.69, -2.31, -4.91%) fell 14% Friday morning after the drug maker said a majority of patients enrolled in one of its studies experienced a viral relapse within four weeks of completing the 12-week experimental hepatitis C treatment.
Six of the eight patients that previously had a “null” response but were taking GS-7977 plus the widely used antiviral ribavirin as part of Gilead’s Electron study had a relapse.

Interferon is a vicious mean poison

I did interferon / ribavirin therapy from June 2008 - December 2008.
It was not successful in eradicating the virus. It did, however,
prove a complete success in disfiguring me, robbing me of my athleticism
and life force, and dulling my cognitive abilities. I developed
psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. I have embarrassing and isolating
rashes where the sun doesn't shine. I constantly go to sun tan booths to
keep things in check. My muscles and joints hurt badly. My brain has
been "altered." That part has slowly gotten better, but it took 2 1/2
years and I am still not the same person I was before. At least I am
not quite so mentally unable to comprehend, prioritize, organize and do.

Cryoglobulinemia and Sustained Viral Response

Subject: Ask Lloyd ...
Hi Lloyd:
Do you have any experience with mixed cryoglobulinemia ( Vasculitis ). I have not been diagnosed with this condition but I believe I have it. I know it is a secondary manifestation of Hep. C that is common in about 50 percent of chronic hep. c patients. I have discolored legs below the knees to the feet. I also have red shiney blotches on my shins and around my ankles with blisters. I have edema in this area as well. From what I have read this is a autoimmune disease caused from the hep. c virus. Systemic Enzymes seems to be the only thing I have read that could help with this condition other than interferon and steroids. I have low blood platelets ( In the 70's ). I know in certain autoimmune conditions your platelets can be destroyed by the immune system. Do you have any input ?
Thanks, Brian

Subject: long term side affects from interferon treatment
My name is Sammy, I went through the treatment , approximately 4 years ago , during the treatment I suffered burning sensations of the skin , server depression and isolation , pains in my joints , and ribs ,
I was cleared of the hep. C , but was left with the side effects , three years on , I have lost my marriage of three years as my wife could not handle the mood changes , I have a fear that I may never be normal ever again , I was told that it was impossible for me to be experiencing side affects three years after treatment . so I looked up long term side effects from interferon and found out that many people are experiencing side affects well after treatment , my mental state has deteriated, I no longer function as I did before treatment , I have loss of memory , I am emotionally unstable , I am depressed a lot , and have no ambition for life , it is as though I am just existing, I have major pains in my right leg, and now have got tendonitis in both arms ,

HCV RNA Not Detected on Program Level One

Lloyd,
Not 100% sure I believe the lab report I'm holding after seeing only HCV RNA counts in the multi-millions, but I am holding my first report that says "HCV RNA not detected, unable to calculate HCV log10 result since component test negative".
I spent about 60 days on program level one. I want to hit it harder the next couple months & get another sample, but this test looks promising. Granted, I have brothers in Christ who have been praying for me for about 5 years, and I am certain of the spiritual work involved, but your journey, the knowledge you found, and the willingness to share that part of your life gave me the hope to keep trying.
I went through 3 clinical trials and 'standard of care' treatment with only increases in HCV counts previously. And I still have side effects a year afterward.

I credit your book and your therapy for my cure
Posted February 17th, 2011 by admin I wanted to let you know about my condition. I am sure you get hundreds of replies. Bless you my man.
As of December 5th, 2010 I cleared Hep-C. It was "non detectable". I have sort of an unusual case in that I never went higher then 300,000 viral load. I still developed cirrhosis of the liver. Forget fibrosis. The iron and cirrhosis was kicking my ass.
