Some new information on the oral hep c drugs in the pipe line.
Yesterday, January 9, 2012 Inhibitex, makers of an oral hep c drug was purchased by Bristol Myers for 2.5 Billion dollars.
On Squawk Box, CNBC, Kramer said, I don’t get it, hep c is a horrible disease, it is fatal but not a big deal. He said, I don’t get it, why so much money is being paid for this oral phase 2 asset. Inhibitex stock went up 189 times over night. A terrific profit.
This simple shows just how little is known about hepatitis c by the community at large. Also about how little is known or understood about just how horrible interferon is. Anyone who has used it would clearly understand the need for a oral drug that does not have these horrible side effects. Also it would be very nice if there was a drug that actually worked. That we will hopefully find out one day.
Today, Pharmaset, maker of another similar oral hep c drug had their purchase by Gilead, world’s largest HIV drug maker approved by the FDA for 11 Billion dollars.
I have a client on this drug. He purchased stock in Pharmaset and tripled his money, today it went up another 69 times. GREAT for him.
This client is geno type one and he cleared the virus.
I will keep you updated as I get new information on these drugs.
In health,
Lloyd Wright
