Peace to All,

                   Attached is a release document with some startling information. Please read it thoroughly. I would be interested if anyone ever saw such a form. I surely did not. It seems to indicate someone knew there could be long term damage from these meds. I was not informed of this by my 2 gastros or primary care doctors. Tto the contrary when i expressed concerns i was told i'd be fine. Who knew what?  I will send another e-mail with a survey from a good info site in UK. Please put in whatever effort you can. Anything is appreciated. Are you tired of being a victim?

                  I salute Craig for putting forth so much effort to get something moving for us! I believe if we all start gathering info, and maybe some more friends to join us we can get something positive accomplished. I know it's not easy, especially if you are'nt feeling well or struggling to make it day by day. But this is a good fight that may help us all in the end. You can contact friends or others on HepCForum. One has a section for post treatment people. Wish you all well and if there is anything i can do to help do not hesitate to contact me. I have been through it all over the last 10 years. Maybe we should all write our stories briefly and to the point as possible; including dates of treatment ,meds, side effects and continuing problems. And what this has done to our quality of life. So we will have it ready and can also share with eachother. I have talked to Craig on the phone a few times, he is always there as am I.

He is a kind, generous, compassionate guy, with a great sense of humor, who though struggling himself, is determined to help FDA do? Anyway contacting our senators may be a way to get these meds. studied there as well as contacting FDA . As would be Medical Universitys. I was also told to search for info in Medical Libraries such as HarvardMedicalSchool or Big City Libraries. The more studies we find the better. I believe the Medical community is just starting to get the picture. The info is coming out that many, many, people are experiencing long term effects from conventional Hep C treatment. Most doctors don't want to talk, or act dumb. (which seems easy for most of them)!

But I had one Hep C specialist, when I finally questioned him on this say, quote,  ["Everyone who goes on Interferon for Hep C, seems to come out of the treatment with something else wrong with them. Someday we will look back and wonder how we could have given that stuff to people." ]  That's all he had to say. End of story for him, but not for us!  Interferon has been around for quite some time. Why were we not informed? IF the body produces natural Interferon as needed, and Ribavarin, the antiviral actually kills off the virus, why were we required to take both? There are a lot of questions to be answered. Lets stick together here!
