Dear Lloyd;
I just read your book "Trimph over Hepatitis C" and absolutely LOVED it! I have known since the mid 1990's I have Hep C when I was donating blood to the Red Cross. Like you I had No idea I had the disease! I have not had any real concerns until I recently had gallbladder problems, ie gallstones causing severe stabbing pains and had my gallbladder removed. (I am now age 54 and with a couple of exceptions I have had excellent health my entire life). My surgeon who removed my gallbladder said my liver is severely enlarged and took pictures of it. He believes I am have the onset of cirrhosis. He has referred me to a liver specialist which I cannot get to see until September.
I have NO insurance, am self employed, and am NOT on medicaid. So like you I am a victim of our broken down medical system.
I have a degree in Psychology and I spent many years in the medical field as a Medical social worker in nursing centers. I saw the insanity of western medicine and was sickened. I spent the last 7 yrs in Santa fe, NM and became a TRUE believer in Alternative medicine, had great success with Acupuncture, chinese herbs, massage and the like. Since then I have moved back to Tulsa, Ok and having a hard time finding those who can help me. I am so very grateful to have come across your book and you! Thank you so much for your guidance, wisdom and straightforward approach to Hep C. You paid a high price for your suffering and now you want to help others. You go the head of the class for your courage and compassion. We need more Lloyd Wright's in the World!!!
