Lloyd,
I'm not sure if you remember me because you deal with so many people but we have corresponded a few times. I just got the results of my latest 3-month blood test. I'll list it below with the previous 3 as well so you can see the trend:

Basically, I've taken Milk thistle and Vitamin C since 1999 when diagnosed and then intermittently did ALA, NAC, Licorice Root, Turmeric and possibly a few other things. At the end of December 05 I got aggresive and started ramping up to as much of your program as much as I could afford.
Right now I'm probably at about 75-80% of the whole program. As I ramped up I saw my viral load steadily go down. It is 62% lower than the highest one I've had in November 05! Between March 06 and this last June 06 test it was almost cut in half! The changes that were made right after the March test was that I started NatCell Thymus and have done it every other day since then. Also, I started consistently doing the teas.
One small disappointment was when I started doing the Reishi tea I misunderstood and did both the capsules and tea. I had already been taking the capsules 3 times per day and added 2 cups of tea per day. When I did this I got an allergic reaction. I quit both and it went away. I took a month off and am now back on the capsules. I'm planning on doing 3 weeks on and 1 week off. I am really happy with my viral load. My doctor knows what I am taking and when I originally showed him he was startled at what I'm taking (amount of different things). When he told me the results of this latest test over the phone he said "Congratulations, your cocktail seems to be working. I'll see you in three months for the next test."
The question I have is with my ALT and AST. They're still up there pretty high and I have some concern with them. Although my AST has come down since the skyrocket test of 01/10/06. Prior to this test my and since about December 00 they were more like the 11/30/05 test. What do you make of this? Could it be a result of die-off from killing virus since a lot of this has happened in the last 6 months? In any event, I feel better than I have in a long time and my viral load is going down so I'm gong to keep plugging along with "my cocktail."
Thanks, Dennis
Hi Dennis:
Get a ferritin test. 30% of males with hep c will have a spike in ferritin and it will raise the ast & alt. Also get iron, iron serum and TIBC test as these can also be high. Most doctors do not know the significance of a ferritin test in hep c. It is very important and is most likely the reason your ast & alt went up. If ferritin is high, we lower it with IP6. Please let me know the results of a ferritin test. If your ferritin is not high, we will look for a different cause.
In good health
