Lloyd I just read a article posted on your sight by N.S.

My name is Dan. I started the Peg-Intron redipen treatments on Febuary 28th, 2006. I took the injections along the Ribaviriv 3 (three), 200mg capusels 2x a day.

After 33 injections I get a letter from my doctor treating me to stop taking the medication. I could not beleive what I was reading so I called the doctor to confirm. And it was confirmed by his nurce. I have a scheduled appointment to see him in January.

I am really disapointed with my treatment as I never received any satisfyed answers. Now that I have been off I am really pissed that his office waited as long as they did to tell me, I have a 1% chance that it will help me. I went through hell. Disapointed a lot of my friends, got some people angry at me, and I was not me.

To top it off I have been scratching my body like crazy. I have dry skin spots on my face shoulder and chest. I have bad vision in my left eye (still waiting to see the specialist), but was told by a friend could be a detached Retna. My bone's ache all the time, my muscles ache all the time. I have found for the itching like hell solution just a daily moisture lotion. I use Curel over the counter stuff.

These and other symptom's I never in my life experienced to the digree that trying to live life sometimes is hell. I have been off the medication now for 5 weeks. I hope it gets better.

Respectfully
Dan

Hi Dan:

I am very sorry they did this to you an no, interferon does not usually work.

Did the doctor tell you why he took you off? Usually they destroy your platelets or lower your RBC or WBC so low that you are almost dead.

You need to find out so you can help that part.
For the itching, SAMe works to stop this itch.

The eye problem is a common side effect of the combo, mostly caused by the pill you take with he shot. It causes many people to go blind.

Unfortunately, I have not seen anyone reverse this. This particular side effect of treatment is not discussed by most doctors mainly for one reason, that being, who in there right mind would take a drug that would make them blind?

For the bone pain, that is the damage that interferon does to bone marrow.

I have suffered with it since I took the stuff 11 years ago.

One thing I have discovered that helps is Russian Choice Immune. It is a good bacteria and it lowers the amount of yeast in the small intestine. For some reason, this helps.

Also, SuperFlex, MSM will work for some.

If you are a geno type 1, 1A, 1B, interferon does not work.
This may be the reason your doctor prescribed the stuff.

For the dry spots, try some Aloe Gel. It works great.
Also take Biomega3 fish oil.

In good health
Lloyd
