Aloha Llyod,

My name is Chantel, I wrote to you about the same time last year looking for advise when I first was diagnosed with hepatitis c. Well, I need your knowledge and expertise once again.

Let me give a quick rundown on where I stand. I am a 32 year old female, I would classify myself as physically fit and otherwise healthy. I found out I have Hep C one year ago, I have a genotype of 2b and my biopsy results say my liver is slightly inflammed. My viral load was 393,000 one year ago. After reading your book I started taking milk thistle, alpha lipoc acid, vitamin c and selenium, dandelion, artichokes, beets, reishi mushrooms, etc. I recently also starting eating alot of organic raw foods and drinking Noni juice, along with anything else that can improve my overall health. Well, I decided to check my viral load and I am blown away. It is down to a mere 63,000!!!

Now, what I want to know is if this is a normal drop or am I really close to getting rid of this on my own??? Is there anything that I could do to just give this demon a little extra push right out of me??? I just do not want to get my hopes up, help I need your words of wisdom!!!!

Mahalo,
Chantel

Hi Chantel:

Good to read from you again!

Do not take the hepatitis a & b vaccine. Do not use antibiotics, Nexium, flu shot or prescription drugs, they all raise the viral load.

Some people have there viral load go down and it goes to 0 or non detected. You are young so it works better.

What ever you do, do not use interferon. It will at the very least make you 10 years older.

Sounds like you are doing very well.
What are your ast & alt numbers?

In good health
Lloyd
