I have decided to go ahead and tell you the story of a friend of mine and his reaction to Pegasys. Feel free to post this on your web site.....

My friend's husband took Pegasys about a year ago. About 3 months into it he began to have severe irritability and anger.

He is a pastor who had been clean of drugs and alcohol for approximately 25 years. On the Pegasys, he suddenly began smoking cigarettes, started taking Vicodin and drinking alcohol. He got so into the pain killers that he started soliciting local drug dealers to get them. Needless to say, this frightened his wife and she was very concerned because of his standing in the community. He spiraled mentally to the point where he literally "ran away from home" and ended up in Mexico where he sold the family vehicle for $75. It took a few weeks for the Pegasys to wear off enough for him to come to his senses, and when it did, he ended up calling his wife from Mexico completely devastated over what he had done.

Luckily, he was able to return home without anything more horrible happening to him than losing the family car. When he went back to his doctor, the doctor decided to take him off the Pegasys "because he was not a good candidate." My question is, where the hell was the doctor during the three months that my friend was LITERALLY LOSING HIS MIND?

After this, my friend had to face his congregation and tell them the whole sordid story in order to regain their respect and confidence. What makes me sick is that he most likely blames himself for this mess instead of the monsters who foisted this nightmare on him - the "doctors" and drug companies!

But, here is the clincher: My friend says now that he will never take any form of interferon again, but, his wife is currently on Pegasys (they both have Hep C). THE SAME DOCTOR THAT POISONED MY FRIEND ENDED UP TALKING HIS WIFE INTO TAKING IT! The influence of the doctors and drug companies is powerful - they made her believe that she will die if she doesn't "at least try it to see if she is a candidate for long-term treatment."

The wife's symptoms are: feeling emotional and edgy, can't handle loud noises, can't sleep without taking benadryl and has lost weight because she has no appetite. She said her immune system is so suppressed that she got bit by a spider and almost had to be hospitalized. They thought she had that skin eating disease! The spider bite turned into a major infection where she had to be put on massive antibiotics. She also told me that she itches badly. She told me that she can't help but scratch her skin, and since her immune system is messed up, if she scratches too much it turns into a major infection as well.

I am sure her symptoms have only just begun. I can only pray that she gets through this. How many more people will have their health and lives ruined before the government puts a stop to this barbaric treatment?
