Dear Lloyd,
Thank you is hardly adequate for the help you have given to so many
and me thus far! I hope that after reading this you get a warm sense
of satisfaction.
Fortunately for me, and perhaps it was due to shock, a week after
the first test came back positive I blurted out to one of my clients
that I had been initially diagnosed with Hep C. I NEVER discuss
my personal business with clients and I have thousands of clients.
Of ALL the clients I could have told this too, for some reason (and
I'm still shaking my head in disbelief and am even stunned now when
I consider the odds.) My client said, 'oh, there's a guy who live's
around here who cured himself of Hep C, let me get his information
for you and may be I can get his number for you and you could talk
to him'. My client lives in Malibu! She sent me your web address
and I jumped in without thinking twice!
I was diagnosed less than 4 weeks ago! and
confirmed a few days ago, but thanks to YOU and God I was armed
when I went to see the specialist on Friday, 30th September for
this confirmation, Hep C +, 74,500 IU, my liver functioning as normal.
He didn't have my Genotype as the Lab 'forgot' to do that test!
Oops, easy mistake!
I first saw this specialist on Sept 9th, the same day the second
test came back positive to my primary health care physician. The
specialist ordered more in-depth blood tests and gave me a whole
heap of things to read, including a pretty looking CD about pegylated..
and how to administer it. He advised me to read all of this stuff
and ask questions at the next appointment. It seemed very routine
and normal and a matter of course. But prior to this I had just
discovered your website (thank God).
When I returned to him this past Friday, 30th, I didn't feel so
afraid and I didn't feel alone, in a strange kind of way, I felt
empowered. And the incredibly scary thing is, he was prepared to
write me a prescription there and then! This was without knowing
my Genotype. He suggested we start right away with the interferon
and check again in 3 months to see if it's working or not. He said
he will know by that time if it's going to work for me or not. Then
he asked, 'you probably have a lot of questions after reading through
the literature, so fire away'. So I meekly suggested I would prefer
to try a natural therapy first as it's less invasive and has helped
others. (the best way to describe the moment would be to liken it
to the movie Oliver Twist, the scene where the children are all
eating their gruel and Oliver walks to the front with his empty
bowl and asks for more! OH BOY... it was as if I had just personally
insulted the man and his attitude and tone changed completed) He
then enquired in a mildly patronizing manner.. 'What therapy are
you suggesting?' (Doh! I didn't take the list with me, frantically
searching my fuzzy brain to remember everything on the list and
all I could come up with were.. Vitamin C, Aloe juice.. organic
(stuttering and stammering...) umm ah some kind of liver enzyme
thing... (I must have sounded like an idiot - however, I wasn't
put off) . Then he contributed to my vague list, 'Milk Thistle'
and I nodded, yes! He said with a grin on his face.. 'Ah, so you
want to do the same as Pamela Anderson huh?' (I really couldn't
fathom his last comment and am still baffeled by it - what has that
got to do with me and how should I know what Pamela is doing to
treat herself... or perhaps I was being overly sensitive).
Then he became even more patronizing and said 'If someone were to
offer me a meal and I didn't recognize anything on the plate, I
wouldn't want to eat it until I knew exactly what it was'. He continued...
'How do you propose to monitor yourself? How will you know if you
have been cured? As you are suggesting you treat yourself?, then
you won't need my help. (ok.. so now I felt as if i was being blackmailed
- it's his way or I'm on my own!) So how will you monitor this?
I said that I hoped he would check my blood every few months.. and
he continued to argue that if he wasn't treating me, there would
be no more need to see him! ( He then stood up, puffed his chest
out and went into a speech as if he was on a podium in front of
an audience of 700 people. 'I am in a select group of specialist
from all over the United States who speaks regularly to other health
care professionals. We are kept informed of the latest medical advances...
etc., (can't recall word for word exactly - and he continued...)
Of all the patients who have come to me with hepatitis, I have 100%
cure rate except with hep 1a and then it's 50%. (I think he finished
then and returned to being somewhat normal again).
He continued that he felt it was in my best interest to begin treatment
right away and return in 3 months, if it didn't work then try the
alternative method. And he asked me how did that sound... (hmm..)
So I replied, well, I would prefer to try it the other way around..
the alternative approach for 3 months then if it didn't work, your
method (I lied.. just to get to go back to see blood results). And
he agreed, reluctantly. He was ready to send me out of his office
with only a prescription for blood work in 3 months. I asked about
the Genotype, could I find that out please? So he scrawled another
prescription and told me to call his nurse in a couple of weeks.
Sheesh!! Was it something I said?
So, given the information from your book/site prior to seeing the
specialist last Friday armed and protected me from the interferon
that the Dr. was expecting to give me a prescription for right there
and then! Had I not blurted my problem to my Malibu Client, it would
be another horror story I'm sure, instead, I have been following
your program for the past 3 weeks, 1 weeks after the first positive
result and finding your web site! I feel so lucky and am so grateful
for being steered to you! I already notice a difference in how I
feel. I am looking forward to seeing this Dr. again in 3 months
and really hope the results shock him! More importantly, I want
to be well.
God bless you for sharing your experiences and knowledge and helping
me and my family. I hope I will be another success story.
