I underwent a round of Interferon, Ribivirin tx that finished
in December. My genome is 2a. I was scheduled
for a 6 month course but was taken off after 4 months because my
platelets fell to 17,000. I started with a platelet count of
approx 81,000, they have been dropping for years.
I had a second opinion and am scheduled for another round with
a half dose of interferon (pegasys) of 90 mcg and a small dose of
ribivirin. My platelets have very slowly risen back up to a current
count of 63,000 over the past 4 months.
When I started tx. last August, my viral-load was 1.4 million,
I was undetectable at 3 months during tx. but 5 mos after I stoped
tx. my Viral load has rocketed up to 7.4 million.
I'm very torn about another round. I only consider it because I
had an easy time during the last Tx. when compared to the other
stories that I have heard. but the idea of probably not being able
to finishe Tx because of existing platelet deficet with the attending
increase in viral load when Tx isn't finished and probably an even
lower platelet count when and if I re-stableize.
Not an easy decision. I want to live. My insurence pays for my
pegasys etc but not for herbs, and the herbal course that seems
to be effective is out of my reach financially, so I'm stuck.
You mentioned "things
that increase viral load" what are they. I've
heard that anti-biotics do but I haven't read any research that
backs that up. Any light you can shed on this dilemma would be greatly
appreaciated.

Tom, do not use interferon again!
Your platelets are too low, they should be at least 140 at the
lowest.
I have read too many stories like yours, JUST like yours and it
is not going to work. Not many people can take this and it has nothing
to do with you, it has to do with interferon and your brain stem.
Often doctors will change from peg to Pegasus. I think they do that
so the patient thinks something will be different.
You are being robbed of your life by cheap scum of the earth unknowing
fools!
I truly can not find words profound enough to describe what I see
and hear every day, acts being carried out against humans by people
with MD behind there names for the sake of money. There can be no
other reason as this stuff does not work, it impairs life and it
is going to be yours.
You're not stuck. No one is going
to force you to pull the trigger. Just because you pay for insurance
does not mean you have to let them destroy you. You would be better
off doing nothing than to use interferon again!
Antibiotics
will raise the viral load as much as 10 million points. I am the
first person on record to discover this and I have been screaming
it from the roof tops for years.
Anti depressants, hep
A & B vaccines raise it, there are many things,
there is a
list on my website.
You would be better off taking:
Milk thistle 400 mg 3 x day
Lipoic acid 300 mg 3 x day
Selenium 400 mcg per day
Dandelion root tea 1 quart
per day
NADH 2.5 mg per day
That is what I think you should do and that you can afford.
